Nowhere in the world honors life quite like Mexico does, and nothing celebrates the connection between life and memory more beautifully than Día de Muertos. Each November 1st and 2nd, families gather to honor those who came before them and those who have passed. It’s an age-old tradition that bridges the worlds of the living and the departed — an explosion of color, scent, and meaning that fills homes, streets, and hearts. And in Los Cabos, it finds new life by the sea, in a setting that invites both celebration and reflection.

At Solmar Hotels & Resorts, Día de Muertos is a time to honor tradition in our own way — with the same warmth, devotion, and joy that define Mexico. Across our resorts, guests are invited to pause before ofrendas adorned with marigolds, candles, and offerings that fill each space with color and meaning. These altars, lovingly crafted by the Solmar family and team, reflect the deep sense of community that has always been at our heart, and the people whose stories have shaped ours for more than fifty years.

Within every resort, the celebration takes its own shape through traditional dishes, intimate experiences, and quiet moments shared by the sea. Each gesture reflects what Día de Muertos has always been about: connection, gratitude, and remembrance. It’s a time when Cabo itself feels especially alive — colors brighter, flavors deeper, and every gathering filled with meaning. By the sea, guests find not only celebration, but also the space to reflect and reconnect, and every moment becomes part of the story we continue to share.
