Championship tennis will be in Cabo this summer, when the Los Cabos Open, part of the ATP World Tour, is played from July 31 - August 5. The tourney's played at the Cabo del Mar tennis complex, a top facility with multiple courts including the main center court. That court will see 28 men's singles and 16 doubles playing for a total of $780,000 in prize money. The qualifying matches are free to the public. There's food and a shopping concourse, plus a kids' play area, to help you make a day of it.
After watching the athletes at work, test your own tennis skills on a court at Playa Grande or The Ridge. Then relax on the sand or in one of the infinity pools and hot tubs, or celebrate your victory with a drink at an oceanfront bar.
There's plenty to do beyond tennis, too. This is Cabo, so water sports should be foremost in your plans. Explore the ocean from a glass-bottom boat, submarine, or sunset cruise; or dive into the waters for scuba, snorkeling, or scuba. There are beaches where you can surf, swim, or simply enjoy the scenic view of Cabo's landmark Arch.
Even landlubbers will find things to do when the tennis matches are over. Wander through the charming towns of San Jose del Cabo and Todos Santos, where you'll find historic buildings and Mexican artists. You can explore the desert on dirt bike, horseback, or even camel back!
Come to Cabo for your summer beach escape, enjoy the water, and make the Los Cabos Open a highlight of your visit!
