The beach is beautiful, the water is wonderful: it can be tempting to spend your entire vacation in Cabo lying on the beach and participating in water activities. But we encourage you to step away from the beach, step out of the resort, and take an excursion to encounter the charm of Baja's towns and the soul of the Mexican people.
This town is one of the Pueblos Magicos, magical towns, that has kept its traditional charm. The most famous sight in Todos Santos is Hotel California, set in a picturesque hacienda-style building. Have lunch on the patio, then stroll through the town. You'll find a theater with Art Deco details and Mexican tiles, an intriguing blend. There's plenty of shopping to tempt you, including art galleries featuring traditional masks.
La Paz is the capital of our state of Baja, and its provincial charm remains the same as when Hernan Cortes set foot here back in 1535. You can stroll from the waters edge boardwalk to the center of town. Soak up the atmosphere in Velasco Garden, the town's main square. The cathedral, from the 1800s, holds paintings from older missions. The old Governor's Palace is along another edge of the square. The Regional History and Anthropological Museum tells the story of the area's people back to a time of cave paintings.
Cabo San Lucas
You can also find Mexican soul right outside our resorts, in Cabo San Lucas. Though the town is a great place for enjoying modern nightlife, you'll find true Mexican artisans at work in the town's glass factory. The town's shops are filled with other Mexican crafts.
Or if you wish, stay at Solmar Hotels & Resorts and linger on the beach and enjoy our amenities. You'll encounter the Mexican soul right here, in the warmth and hospitality of our staff.
